Assembly of Partners is the decision-making body of Association and is constituted by the legal representatives of each Associated Member. The President chairs the Assembly of Partners while the Scientific Coordinator participates in its without voting rights. It deliberates on matters concerning the regulation relating to the Association operation, the issues with financial/economic impact and the dissolution of Association.

The President is the legal representative of the Association and is the pro tempore representative of Istituto Superiore di Sanità. The President chairs the Assembley of Partners and the Executive Board.

Executive Board is composed by the President and three to five participants elected by Assembly of Partners. The Scientific Coordinator participates in its without voting rights. It makes the Assembly of Partners directives, related to Association’s activities, operational and provides advice on budget, work plan and the admission or exclusion measures for possible new members.

The Board of Directors is scientific and technical body of A_IATRIS and is constituted by the Scientific Directors or Representatives of each Associated Member. Scientific Coordinator chairs the Board of Directors. It has an advisory role for the Assembly of Partners about annual work plain, scientific projects and admission or exclusion of members.

Scientific Coordinator chairs the Board of Directors and participates in the Assembly of Partners and in the Executive Board. The Scientific Coordinator is responsible for the scientific activities of A_IATRIS. The Scientific coordinator promotes A_IATRIS facilities, and oversees the interaction between the platfoms.

Scientific and technical Secretariat guarantees support to the bodies of Association and provides help in the coordination activities of Association, sending meeting notifications, verifing and estabilishing contacts with external user, informing members about possible funding opportunities, and participating in the drafting of documents and communications necessary for Association activities.

A_IATRIS is organized into six platforms: five product platforms and the intellectual property & technology transfer platform. Each platform is made up of a representative for each A_IATRIS member with specific skills in the individual product types. The platforms provide an “open access” to services for development of projects, organize training programs and provide advice on regulatory and ethical issue. Each Platform is coordinated by a Chair and one or more Co-Chairs.
